Subsequent Summer

Johanna Kunz Solo Art Exhibition

Johanna Kunz is an artist from Tampa Bay, currently living in the Auburn-Opelika area. SUBSEQUENT SUMMER featured 33 mixed-media works ranging from 8×10” to 38×48”. The show combined oil, acrylic, and layered mixed-media techniques with projected visual elements that extended the work beyond traditional media.

Johanna and I worked together to nail down the creative vision for this show. We wanted the branding itself to be minimal and simplistic so the art could act as the eye-catching element. Some of the posters that were made, however, do not feature the artist’s works, but instead feature imagery that conveys the overall feeling of the artist’s statement that accomanied the gallery’s works.

This exhibition took place in October in Opelika, AL and featured works made primarily during Summer in Tampa Bay, FL. The identity of the gallery feels refreshing like summer, while the colors and the paintings bring the nostalgia of looking back on seasons gone by.
